Timing Belt Replacement V70-XC70 2003

"...You do realize that the Tbelt interval is 105K miles, same for tensioner..."

Yes, that's why I'm a nervous Nellie at 150,000. I've ordered the original Volvo T-belt kit from FCP - belt, tensioner, idler. They were running a 15% discount and free shipping.

"...before you remove the old belt, count the teeth between the 2 cams and make sure you have the same count with the new belt in place..."

I can imagine that a lot of the difficulty is due to not being able to get your head down in there for a good straight-on view of all the timing marks. I'll be careful.

"...If one of your cams is one tooth off, no harm is done, but you will get a check engine light..."

I was a tooth off one time on a B230 - definitely noticeable in the wierd idle and power loss.

Thanks for the advice.
