Good eyes Klaus. I didn't look closely enough at the original post.

The 1999+ VVT engines do indeed require some special care. You'll want to find someone who's done a writeup specifically on the VVT engines.

A cam holder tool would be more appropriate for this application. Because of the VVT mechanism the intake cam (is that the one with the VVT? I can never remember) will tend to move when the belt tension is released, unless the "ahead 90 deg, then back" procedure is done properly.
