How to remove the center headrest. V70-XC70 99

1. Fold the small driver's side vertical section of the rear seat forward.

2. On the large passenger's vertical section of the rear seat section, remove the two torx screws holding on the plastic piece right next to the head rest.

3. Remove the plastic piece.

4. Use small screwdriver to pry up small metal wire that is touching outer headrest post.

5. Pull up on headrest at the same time as performing step 4 and the headrest will come out.

Plus: I am able to put my 5 yr old and his booster seat in the safer center position.

Delta: He can now reach his 2 yr old brother sitting next to him and is trying to stick things into his ears.
