01, S60T5, Trunk not unlocking S60 2001

Hi List,

Since Klaus and a few other people helped me save some money a couple of weeks ago, I thought I'd try again to get some help with a different problem as follows.

The problem is the un-locking actuator on the trunk doesn't work, I have done the following:
1. First checked with a 12V test light at the actuator and test light comes on, then off very quickly. This is connecting both terminals then pressing the trunk switch.
2. Because I thought the test light barely stayed on, then I got a Automotive multi-meter and connected it at the terminals and it showed 12.6V very quickly type on/off,
3. I have an old car battery, I probed 12V directly to the un-locking actuator and it works.

I think the problem is somewhere between the relay (if there's one) and ...

Any help and ideas will be greatly appreciated...
