Dashboard lights C70 2000

ABS and skid control (TRKS) systems both use the same ABS module. There is an error which disables both systems. Your brakes still work but can lock up, especially if it is wet.

Either remove the ABS module and resolder it yourself, if you are good at it, or send the module off to get repaired. Vic, used by many on the BB, charges about $150. Some on the East coast use others. Do not get a 'new' unit from the dealer, they will fail after about 5 years or so and cost a lot.

If you need an 'online' manual, try this:

http://www.volvocars.com/us/top/community/pages/yourvolvo.aspx

Just scroll to the bottom of the page, enter the year and model and then open the PDF. You should be able to save the PDF on your PC for future use.
