Based on my experience with a 745, you cannot re-glue or refasten it an have it look good - if it worked at all.
It has to come down and redo with a whole new piece.
I did it myself and it came out very good.
But it was such a PITA, that I'd never do it again.
It cost me about 60 bucks or so.
