Headlight adjustment V70-XC70 2004

Gang -

I've read a few headlight adjustment threads but nothing that seemed to address my issue. I have a 2004 V70 with standard lights. I can see the 2 adjuster pieces. The one accessed from the top appears to have a 6 mm nut. I don't know if this is the up-down or left-right adjuster as I have not played with it yet.

BUT the other adjuster (accessed from the rear) is a very strange shape - sort of triangular. It offends me to put a pair of pliers on it but no tool I've ever seen even comes close.

Which adjuster is for up/down and do I need a special tool for the one adjuster?

Hmmmm, just returned from the driveway. The rear adjuster on the passenger side I can probably turn by hand - although it's tough. The driver side does not have enough access so I'll need some sort of tool.
