Re: What?!!! No S60 owners with problems yet? :D S60

I agree with comments you make. However, cost cutting often occurs over time with reviews on component costs / supplier issues.

As for Jaguar, no probs there other than paying a BIG premium for an optioned up Mondeo (Jag X-type - 4WD and all). It is up to customers to decide if the car is worth the extra money. I guarantee many will and won't regret anything

From what I see the new V70/S60 are great cars. I hope they perform and continue to be reliable. The quality of showroom cars I have seen is VERY good.

I draw attention to my comments re cost pressures at companies such as Ford/GM - if you haven't seen the system working you haven't got the slightest idea (no offence meant in any way). Ford used to be run by product people. Today it's run by finance people (for a brief overview read a book called 'Car; Mary Walton, 1996' - a story of both the good and bad sides of Ford, mostly good).

I once was told by a close friend 'Pessimism is a healthy virtue - it lessens the feelings of disappointment when everyone lets you down'; and/or 'Trust no-one and they can't let you down'.
