XC70 V70-XC70 2007

Hey Brickboarders -
Put a post on the Gallery, but wanted to acknowledge and honor the Brickboard in my travels with my four wagons. My picture post shows my fourth one since 1982, a 2007 XC70, Black with Oak leather. Much different than my first 80 240, or even my last, a 1997, V90. All have given my great pleasure and opportunities for learning how to work with them and on them. It's been a great journey. Barring any unforeseen circumstances, the XC70 will be my last. It's funny I was planning to downsize, looking at a V50 or even a C30, as well as other makes and models. The XC70 became available thru Ebay in Knoxville, so it was a quick drive to pick it up. So many bells and whistles to learn, but all good, from not opening the gas cover until car is turned off...to the DTSC and the glaring shortcoming of the car on the trip computer...how long my gas will last! But it's a great road car, surprisingly quick and of course very comfortable. With a couple of dogs and stuff to always load, it was a perfect choice. Still need mudflaps, and contemplating park assist ($$$) and auto adjust night rearview mirror. Be safe and be well,
John
