ringing in right front end and removing headlight V50

My 2007 v50 just started a slight "ring" (a medium-high pitched singing or resonant sound, not a squeak) in my right front end when I turn the wheel. My first thought is to check the power steering fluid level which requires me to remove the right head light. I pull the pin and the front edge moves out but the rear of the light doesn't want to come. I don't want to force it and risk breaking something. So, I have two questions, what is the sound I am hearing when I turn the wheel? and how do I remove the headlight?
