Used V/70 - what to be wary about, and what's the best year, 2008?

Hello -

I've not owned or driven a non-rear wheel drive Volvo, but the 1997 965 is getting older and unexpected things are beginning to fail - outer LR door handle, e.g. (Inside door, requires entire door latch mechanism to fix.)

So I have considered a used V/70. I understand that 2010 is the last year made, and an owner I spoke to said "I love it". That year is likely above my budget, so I am asking about other possibilities.
