Climate control reset procedure ? 850 1996

I have a 1996 850 with climate control. My battery was recently flattened when I left the car at an airport for a while. Ever since, I have had problems with the climate control, for example, when switching to "demist", the blower operates at max (as it should), but no air comes out of the windscreen vents. The temperature control also seems less accurate than it was. My question is this - did the flat battery somehow knock the climate control out of synch, and is there an easy way to re-synch it ?
