Motor Mounts 850 1994

Tonight I intended on replacing the motor mount closest to the radiator (not sure if its considered left or right, part #6801722 from IPD). I removed bottom bolt and the top nut with no problems, but when I went to life the engine, I couldn't get it up high enough (story of my life LOL) to clear the threads. I didn't want to jack it up any higher and push my luck. Do I need to removed the bracket to the engine to get this thing off? I have a 1994 n/a 5 speed with 190k. All the motor mounts are original. I installed the polyurethane top mount from IPD and got quite a bit of vibration at idle, so I figured I'd change them all out since they are all original. Also, any suggestions on the mount? Should I go with the firmer IPD version or stick with the original.

Thank You

Eddie G
