Leather repair.... 850 96

Hi all! I am close to buying a '96 850 Turbo. Need to ask a couple more

questions. Any help is appreciated and this group has been super

in that.

1. Does it need a 92 octane gas ? The previous owner claims

to have used only 89 octane. Does it affect the engine/turbo in anyway ?

2. Is this a high pressure Turbo ? A dealer said that the GLT is a low-

pressure turbo and the T-5 (1997 onwards) is a high pressure one. The

1996 one that I will be buying says just TURBO on the back. Is it high-

pressure or low pressure ?

3. There are 4-5 small tears in the leather uphostery (mostly the arm rests

on the rear doors). How can I fix these ?

What else should I check for before buying this car ?

Thanks for all the replies received to some of my previous queries.

Kdar
