Re: installing a CD player 850 97

I ordered a the Alpine CHM-S620 6-Disc changer, $214.95 from SMILE PHOTO, 800-516-4220. This one will work with the Volvo 811 head unit. You will need the in line adapter, you canget this from one of your local car stereo specialist shops for about 85.00. I installed my unit under the passenger seat which is a very good location. Depending on where the seat usually sat, you should be able to reach behind it and just push the button to remove/replace the CD tray. I installed the CD player in my wife's galant under the seat also. Both units work great, no visiable wires, player hidden out of the way. Just remember to block off the floor vent under the seat with some duct tape as not to blow heat on the unit. If you don't the vent off it should be Ok as that the unit was meant to go in a steaming hot in the summer - freezing in the winter TRUNK.
