S70 is acting up - need some help S70 1999

The P1017 can be a number of different things. An actual Volvo scanner can tell you what it is. ONE of the various things it could be is a defective throttle unit. Other possibilities are for ECM faults, MAF problems, Exhaust cam jumping, air leakage, etc.

The P1053 is for a faulty throttle signal. There are four causes: Bad power supply, dirty throttle body, bad battery/corroded cables, and a defective throttle body.

If I was betting, I'd bet you had a defective throttle body. But, as I said there are other possibilities. You might try giving it a good cleaning and seeing if it helps any, but likely you'll have to bring it into the dealer to find out the specific problem.

The P0135 your O2 sensor. First check the wires, if there isn't a short/break in the wire its the sensor. Swap it out at a pick and pull and problem solved.
