Will 850 door latch work on v70? V70-XC70

OK, so I tried to repair the faulty power door lock on the LR door (RR also broken), and it did not work. I followed the online instructions, but the location of the pin is hard to determine with the broken piece gone, and after 2 attempt it still does not work right.

It really irks me that the IDIOTS at Volvo designed a system that was obvious to break, and then put the door unlock button on the REAR of the door, where one cannot reach it.

Is it possible to use the door latch, hardware, rods, etc, from a 850, that has the button on the front? How about a 850 doorpanel? The V70 doorpanel is very poorly built to boot.

Sorry, I am a bit frustrated by this.
