Sway bars and HD suspension upgrades 850

If you use HD struts, do get the IPD heavy duty swaybar links and the upper strut mounts, both are worth the money and more or less required if you stiffen up the car with the IPD sway bars. Or use the OEM XC90 strut mounts instead of what is specced for the 850.

HD shocks ought to be used only with OEM springs, else your ride height may be messed up. They are a bit on the hard side, if your roads are poor, you may prefer the TC.

I have the HD struts and IPD sway bars. Chicago is riddled with potholes every spring. I used to eat OEM sway bar links and upper strut mounts like mad, I was lucky to get a year out of them. My IPD swaybar links and strut mounts are now > 5 years old with no problems.

I also have the strut brace. Again, its worthwhile, but not a total game changer like the sway bars.

The entire package makes for a very tight solid platform.

Good luck.
