New S60 owner--PM tips? S60 2002

Hiya,

After several months without a Volvo for the first time ever, I finally purchased a 120k mile young S60 T5 with Geartronic!

This is my first FWD Volvo; it's replacing my '87 760 Turbo. I'm very happy with the car so far. It's surprisingly quick, exceptionally comfortable and well-appointed, and all the electronics work. I keep finding excuses to go out and drive.

It seems to have been well-maintained (it was a trade-in at a local dealer): hoses are supple, belt is tight and shiny, everything sounds and drives nicely.

However, I'm getting the "shift-flare" issue I've read a lot about.

Does anybody have a good guide for a total tranny flush/fill? I've seen lots of advice, but no step-by-step how-to.

Also, does anybody here have experience doing the IPD B4 cover replacement? If so, anything in particular to look out for while doing the job? About how long should it take?

While I'm under there, are there any specific things I should look out for on a car this year/mileage?

Any other specific preventive maintenance tips or advice?

Thanks, Brickboard! I look forward to spending more time here...again. :)
