AC schrader valve tool needed 1998

This appears to be the valve, no? can you not just use a pair of needle nose and pull it out?

Also, it looks like the you have to unscrew the pin first instead of just pulling it out if thats all you're taking off. Perhaps you could get a small circular tube and cut notches on either side to go around the pin allowing you to unscrew it?
