Clearing the Check Engine light 850 95

Hi folks. 95 854T. My check engine light has been on for quite some time. I don't have a code scanner, but am highly confident that the cause was a bad front O2 sensor (previous trip to the dealer found the cause of intermitent check engine light to be slow responding front 02). I replaced the sensor and had the battery unplugged for about 30 minutes - the check engine light is still on.

I know that if there is a fault the check engine light will stay on for some time after the fault is detected. Does anybody know how long after the fault the light typically stays on? Other than with a code scanner, is there a way to reset the light? I would like to find out if replacing the O2 sensor cleared the problem.

Thanks,

Dave
