Hello, tmmanian is correct, just don't be surprised if the unit they have for customers use doesn't communicate with your Volvo. That was my experience when I tried two stores' scanners. Also, there are basic scanners which will read codes but fail to erase them. I own one of them. My ScanGauge (first generation) has never let me down. Kira
