850(R) Turbo Failure ?!? 850 95

I've recently completed around 90K miles on my 850(R). I noticed an initially slow, and now a lot worse, loss of power, especially when taking off at lights etc.

Having had a play around there seems to a very limited number of things that could be wrong - my main concern just from examining turbo manufacturers websites is that the turbo has given up. I've heard this is more of a problem with the 850R than the T5 simply because it is tuned up more for more power.

Has anyone else got a similar age of car experienced this?

I'm also concerned that I'm not letting my turbo 'spin-down' enough before turning the engine off. How long do you guys normally wait? Is is possible that I've caused this myself?
