P0455 thrown and Check Engine Light on BUT.... V70-XC70

The 1998 AWD is a little different, but, the hose that goes to the top of the fuel tank is there to send fumes to the cannister when the engine is off. The hose on my 1998 is quite rubust, feels like a fuel line hose rather than a vacuum line. The only way to look at the tank end is to drop the tank, which is probably not needed.

The line from the tank to the filler tube used to have problems in the 850s, it would crack at the base and people smelled vapors after being parked over night. It is a PITA but can be replaced, but I would only do that if I smelled fumes.

Have you tried a thin coat of petroleum jelly on the gas cap gasket? The filler neck can get beaten up by the nozzle and eventually allow a leak.
