P0455 thrown and Check Engine Light on BUT.... V70-XC70

First off, great post. Very informative and insightful.

I now understand the whole system.

The filler cap is original however I have replace the rubber seal. I tried putting a new one on from FCP but I didn't like it as it didn't attach to the door. So I removed the seal from it and put it on the original one.

Currently do not smell fumes in any way shape or form. I usually fill it up pretty far when I get gas and still I smell nothing.

This coming Monday, I'm having all the wheels aligned so my mechanic will have it. I'm going to have him do a smoke test on it and tell me what he finds from it.

I don't think he'll find anything.

If no leak then where?

What does the fuel tank pressure sensor do and where exactly is it located? Where is the pressure sensor pipe located as well?

Thanks for all your information. I'm so close to fixing this thing that I can smell it!

I'll let you all know what I find out next week.

Regards,

Matt
