Creeking Shock, Help? 850 1995

In the last two days I've noticed a creeking at slow speeds. The noise is coming from the front left wheel. Whenever I push down on it creeks. The shock is only about a month old so I am assumming it's not the shock because I've never head a shock creek. Could this be the spring? What else could possibly be making a creeking noise when I push down on it?
