Thanks for the stats. I will have to avoid a few of those guys. And yes, the 944 was quite humbled. He felt so bad; I let him take the 850 for a spin around the block. He said the handling wasn't as good but it was a rocket. I'm still grinning from that comment. I guess all in all I made out fine. This whole thing started with owning a '97 VW Jetta GLX in 98 and selling it in 99. I missed it so much but did not want to pay the $27+K for a new one equipped with the goodies I chose. The 850 was the ultimate compromise. I have maybe a total of $8k in this thing and it is just so much sweeter than my Jetta ever was. BTW, the races were all done on a private road in an industrial/business area. We do this sort of thing all the time and have never had a single problem. There is no traffic in the area with the exception of us. Safety is always top priority.
