A radio is around $100 at Best Buy, installed. Charging the AC with R12 should be less than $150, and what is wrong with a short bungee cord? My 1967 has a soup can wrapped around the tail pipe, I think the 4 clamps is what hold the entire car together.

An 03 S40 would be a fitting replacement, your 240 is better than the 1991. At least with the S40, you get ABS and 4 airbags. Plus, FWD will be better to get around in the winter if you live in the hill country.
