Considering buying 2003 V70 V70-XC70

Thanks for that. Sounds like the V70 not too bad a car then (though I read that 2000-02 were to be avoided). I figure the manual transmission may be a bit more reliable than automatic, but not sure if that's necessarily true in the V70... Do you recall what roughly a timing belt replacement costs on these? Is it recommended to replace the water pump or other components at the same time?
I had read about engine mounts needing attention, are they an expensive repair job? (I assume not).
Any other costly repair issues lurking? (I read the AC evaporator can be costly to fix, if one doesn't regularly replace the "cabin filter").
