Yeah, quite silly to have the slave cylinder in the bell housing! I assume they replaced everything while they were in there (throwout bearing, etc.). I'll get my mechanic to check out the shocks, since they don't give indication of having been replaced. Coincidentally I offered her $1500 less than her asking price (which was $7K), which sounds like should take care of the things it probably needs at this time.
