98' OBD2 NOT reading 'ready'... V70-XC70

Had my wife's car in to my mechanic about a month or so ago and he performed a smoke test on it to find that my EVAP purge solenoid up by the radiator was bad.

In doing so, I think he erased/cleared out my computer.

I replaced the part and have been driving the car now almost 2 full tanks of gas and the systems still have not set to ready. The CEL hasn't come on either so I guess that is a good thing.

Any ways, being concerned that something got dorked in the process of the smoke test, I pulled the battery and let it sit for 10 minutes. I then hooked it up and am now waiting to see what happens.

So has anyone ever experienced this before and if so, what was the fix/cure to get the systems to set to ready?

Thanks in advance,

Matt
