e-brake rattle 850

I had an annoying rattle in the right rear wheel. I could stop it by engaging the e-brake slightly. I pulled the rotor to replace the
brake shoe clips, thinking that would be it. The front clip was worn a little.
The rattle seems to be the lower linkage that engages the shoes.
I put a little never-seez at the pivot points of that linkage, also greased the adjuster and the slide points on the shoes.
The wheel is 90% quieter but I'm wondering if the likeage has had it, and if that comes with a new e-brake cable? I suppose the grease is a temporary cure only.

Any hints?

Bill
