Any tips on the Auto Trans before I buy? S70 2000

I am at a cross road again. I found a clean 2000 S70 GLT to replace my recently totaled 1995 850. This S70 has 128k miles on it. They flushed and replaced the tranny fluid back at 96k miles. This is right around the time that my old 850 trans failed shortly after buying it. I had to re-build the trans almost immediately. I can't afford to make a bad decision again. Is there any way I can be sure that this transmission is in good shape (other than the color of the fluid) and won't fail as soon as I buy it? The pre-owned dealership said they will give me a 1 month/1,000 mile warranty. I laughed but I guess it is better than nothing.
