What the heck V70-XC70 1999

I replaced my struts and strut mounts about 3 months ago. All was well. Two days ago I decided to do the first half of a front brake job. Drivers side rotor and new pads. After i dropped the car from the jack stand, I noticed a noise as a turned the wheel backing out of the driveway. After closer inspection, the strut mount on the drivers side is making noises as i turn the wheel. I can feel it slightly binding if I put my hand on the top of the strut. What gives? did jacking up the car do this? or was it already happening and i did not notice.

The mounts are from FCP, I got them in the strut and shock kit they sell. all seems fine if i bounce up and down on the front end. It just seems like the bearing in the mount is starting to bind. Could it be failing after two months?
