96 850 intermittent stalling 850 1996

The USA had 2.4L normally aspirated and 2.3L high pressure turbos. The engine cover says 20 Valves!

Now, his engine is running rich. Most of the time it is a vacuum line that has broken or is leaking badly. Look for that first, before spending a lot of money on a MAF. Take off the cover over the throttle and check all of the lines coming off the vacuum 'tree'. Don't forget to check the large intake tube from the filter to the throttle body, it can develop cracks.

If his temoperature gauge is constantly low, then he may have a broken thermostat.
