alternator replacement V70-XC70 1999

This tight quarter transverse motor area is not the old red block I’m used to…..

I’ll exaggerate a bit but my Haynes manual makes alternator replacement in this car sound like it is a ten minute job….does the power steering pump need to be removed to make room for the removal of the alternator? Haynes does not mention power steering pump removal in the procedure of alternator replacement. I can’t even see where the mounting apparatus is let alone see the bolts that hold the alternator in place….
my thanks to anyone who may be able to help me out (do the job for me free of charge…giggle) by sharing any info on this task….a task, that I may or may NOT do myself
Thanks again
