02 V70 Alarm Problem V70-XC70

A while ago I had a problem with the alarm going off all the time and the RR passenger door not locking or not unlocking all the time.

I replaced the door lock assy and all was fine for a few months.

The door locks still work fine but I keep getting a message that the Alarm System needs service. I can also smell a faint odor of burnt resistors or other electronic parts. The siren no longer works, all fuses are good.

Can someone tell me where the siren and the alarm module is located in this car?

Up until this point the V70 has been fine (128K miles), just tires, brakes, timing belt, and O2 sensor.
Same for my wife's '01 S60.

Thanks,
Jim L
