Need Help with ETM Replacement... S80 1999

I am sorry that you spent $150 for a part that no one will install and program to your car.

As to your comments about xemodex prices, for 3 day UPS shipping, the ETM is "Total price at the check out is $649.00 USD". For next day air it is $699.00USD.

There is no tax and no shipping charge, plus you get credited $100 when you return your old unit. That leaves $549 out of pocket, for a unit that will never fail and needs no dealer programming.

As to prices I mention on other web sites, they come from memory and are only intended as a guide. I have no control when companies increase their costs or change their policies. The company used to only repair what you sent them, no core, and then they shipped the repaired unit back to the sender. I guess that took too long for a lot of people that must have a running car.

As to what it costs to make a part and how much profit the company keeps? That's not my job. They do have employees and a building to pay for, among other things. I don't think the part suppliers are volunteers and find parts at junk yards.
