Simple question for those who has a Volvo Skid Plate S70 1998

I have a Volvo Skid Plate on one of our S70s which came galvanized (silver color). I painted it black using POR-15 before installing it on my wife's car. I will be getting a Skid Plate for my S70. I know that the Skid Plate is also available in black. Simple question: Does anyone know if this is black paint over the galvanized plating or just regular primer/paint which could eventually lead to rust? All the Parts Manager knew was that it came in silver or black. Thanks.
