SRS warning msg, odd circumstances V70-XC70 2004

Spouse has had this '04 V70 for just a couple of weeks; 2-300 miles over the 113K it had when wwe got it. Today, after shopping, started it up, moved slowly forward, and the wipers self-actuated while the car refused to continue moving. Did that 2x on the way home. Dash now shows SRS-seatbelt waarning, "URGENT SERVICE". Still over 100 miles to dealer,but will hope the car makes it there Monday.
No engine codes or transmission codes stored or pending, natch.
Any suggestions, SWAGS re diagnoses, or warnings will be much appreciated.
