Extra lighting harness S60

I was replacing my front low beam bulb on our 2004 S60 and noticed a factory "extra" wiring harness with a plug. It's on both sides and sets just above the lights. The plugs are closed off but it looks usable. Any idea what these are for? HID wiring?
