Emergency flasher switch V70-XC70 1998

If it indeed pops out on its own volition, replacement is the only option. The rear of the switch contains the relay for the turn signals. The entire switch can be pulled out of the console, unplugged, and replaced.

I agree to the poor placement. There are many times I have shifted into park, only to have a knuckle bump the switch and realize the flashers are going after I have locked the car.
