Yeah, I was just joking. I very much believe old timers like yourself do a great job. I find that in my line of business (as well as auto 'trade') the young guys that think they know it all, won't learn, and make silly mistakes. I very much respect your time in the game!

I would have to say most 850Rs get driven hard - the reason people buy the high performance version. However, car has had full Volvo service history since new and I have complete history on file even from previous dealers. Only change now is that I change oil twice as often as Volvo recommend and I use Mobil 1 0W40. Previously dealers used either Shell Helix or Repsol. Keep in mind though that most problems with this car have been commonly occurring across 850 fleet (Volvo Australia were well aware of turbo seals - maybe heat etc in Australia causes extra wear?).
At the moment this car kicks butt - it's going great and I wouldn't want to let it go. Problems are over and I enjoy every mile on the road. Now that I have no warranty to worry about I can give the loser Volvo Service network the flick! When they pay decent money to keep their decent people I might go back. From comments on brickboard there are many good dealers in USA. Maybe the restructure here in Australia will work soon.
