Check valves p0442 V70-XC70

I originally used fuel injection line, but it wasn't a good fit. Bought the actual couplers at the dealer for $2.18 each, which seemed like a deal. :)

This system is increasingly annoying. I put everything back together, then tested the wiring to the shut off valve. It's only getting 6v. I don't know if that's by design or what, but it's not enough voltage to fully close the valve. Not having any specs on this system sucks.

I also replaced the gas cap - conveniently Saabs and Volvos use the same one, so I have piles of them around, including one that's a couple months old and tested good at a smog test three months ago.

CEL is still on... not immediately when the car is started, but within 10 seconds. Not sure if that's just how it works, or if that's indicative of a fault that becomes apparent after the car has been running for a few seconds.

My regular scan tool does not see the CEL, although it happily monitors all the other engine functions. WTF? I downloaded Vol-FCR, but it is apparently not compatible with my VAG-COM HEX-USB adapter since it gets a communications error... I think my HEX-USB is too new, and not supported by Vol-FCR. Double dead end.

I am going to road test it tomorrow. It's at least drivable (in theory... :) with this CEL. If the transmission is happy again, maybe a few test drives will let the light reset itself. Presumable P0442 is the same code you'd get with a bad gas cap, and they usually reset themselves, yeah?
