Check valves p0442 V70-XC70

New info:

I got my VAG-COM cable working with the demo version of Volvo FCR, and the only code is a transmission fault of 313. No codes for the evap system. That would explain why my OBD tool wasn't seeing the code and couldn't reset it - it only deals with engine diagnostics.

So, that leads me to this question: Is the CEL coming on a few seconds after starting the car normal behavior for a continuing transmission fault (i.e. one that has not been reset), or is it indicative of a recurring fault?

I think I will probably just fork out the dough for the FCR and find out... can't have too many specialty code readers kicking around! :)
