Help!!! - Driver's side mirror motor S70 98

Folks,

My driver's side mirror got hit by a stone and spider webbed. The motor seemed to be working fine after the incident, moving side to side and up and down. I took it into the dealer today (Rickenbaugh Volvo - Denver Colorado) and they replaced the glass ($38 for glass) and tried to screw me for 1/2 hour labor to put it in ($42!!!!!! - that's $84/hour). When i bitched about that they cut it down to $12 for an even $50. Then I noticed the mirror would only go up and down not side to side. When I mentioned this they said, "oh yeah, forgot to tell you about that, the motor must have been damaged when the glass broke." When I said that it was working fine, he mumbled something about well that's possible but something may have happened when they took the broken glass out. He then refused to replace the motor or make a warranty claim.

Whaddya folks think about that, and does anyone have any ideas on how I could fix the motor failure of going side to side????

Cheers,

Tim
