1993-94 and 95-97 850 sedan tail light interchangeability 850

Dear Brickboard members:
Does anyone know if the 950 1993-94 and 95-97 sedan's outboard tail light lenses (the main tail lights) are interchangeable? I know the inboard (trunk) lights are totally different, with a taper to gray plastic on the 95-97, but that's not what I am worried about.
For inspection, I have to change a cracked main lens, and I am thinking the orange on the 93-94 would be an interesting change from the clear turn signal plastic on the 95-97.
The 95-97 has a four-post mount, and it seems the 93-94 does, too.
Can I just put in the 93-94 lenses on a 1997 850, or is there some subtle change in the contours that I am missing?
