Volvo battery longevity S80 2005

I currently own four Volvos: 1993 940 (340K); 1996 960 (320K); 2004 S80 (180K) and 2007 S80 (60K). I have replaced the batteries every ten years on the 940 and 960. I have only used Volvo batteries from the Volvo dealership. At the time I replaced the batteries on the 940 and 960 they never "mis-behaved" and were error-free. I only replaced them because I thought ten years was pushing a battery. I will replace my '04 in 2014 and '07 in 2017.

My Volvos and I have driven and lived in Michigan/Ohio and now am in Nebraska; so the weather conditions can be extreme. Great cars.
