Klaus, I love your responses for their detail.

When I close the trunk hatch I never feel or hear two clicks. Just one big bam.
It doesn't feel like anything engages. I don't quite unerstand what you said here,

"Or, you could move the latch pin on the bumper rewards about 16th of an inch (2 T40 screws)."

Are you saying the latch pin (wherever that is) can be adjusted?
What is a "bumper reward"?

Could i just buy a new/used lock from say Erie Vo-vo?
