Left side axle for NA 2004 V70-XC70

The "clunk" is where the axle splines meet the hub. Not the tranny side. They only "glue" the hub side. The tranny side is soaked in trans fluid... Glue would never work.

It seems the "glue" is a green loctite product. Not sure which one.

Question is there appears to be a "fix" offered on the xc60. A special axle bolt with a rubber grommet. Heard of this?

The rest of the axle assembly seems to be fine.
